1. Issue of scenario

2.Technical issue
+pocket issue ( How GPS can work when the object is in the pocket)

+size of the bubble-10m
if the users works 4m/sec, it takes 4-5sec these users cross by each other.
But, usually to listen to sample music file, each company provide 15-sec.
Maybe, it should be better if each of them can hear at least 7-8sec.
In this case, there is two way to achieve this condition.
1. change the size of the bubble ex) n=>15m
2. when people are crossing, they can exchange 10sec of music file.
so, still people can hear 10sec.
(And then, the volume does fade in and fade out)
-how much data we can send
with Wi-Fi : Each 1sec-20sec of music files

+Accuracy of GPS is 10-15m. so only with GPS we can not show our position on the screen as we want. So the possibility is here.
1. put additional emitter and receiver for each devise.
-put the some sensor and signal

But in this case, we can know the distance but not orientation(position of the other user)

Ultra-wideband (UWB, ultra-wide band, ultraband, etc.) is
a radio technology. It can be used at very low energy levels for
short-range high-bandwidth communications by using a larger
portion of the radio spectrum. This method is using pulse coded
information with sharp carrier pulses at a bunch of center frequencies
in logical connex. UWB has traditional applications in non cooperative
radar imaging. Most recent applications target sensor data collection,
precision locating and tracking applications.

Due to the extremely low emission levels currently allowed by
regulatory agencies, UWB systems tend to be short-range and indoors
applications. However, due to the short duration of the UWB pulses, it
is easier to engineer extremely high data rates, and data rate can be
readily traded for range by simply aggregating pulse energy per data bit
using either simple integration or by coding techniques. Conventional
OFDM technology can also be used subject to the minimum bandwidth
requirement of the regulations. High data rate UWB can enable wireless
monitors, the efficient transfer of data from digital camcorders, wireless
printing of digital pictures from a camera without the need for an intervening
personal computer, and the transfer of files among cell phone handsets and
other handheld devices like personal digital audio and video players.

UWB is used as a part of location systems and real time location systems.
The precision capabilities combined with the very low power makes it ideal
for certain radio frequency sensitive environments such as hospitals and
healthcare. Another benefit of UWB is the short broadcast time which enables
implementers of the technology to install orders of magnitude more transmitter
tags in an environment relative to competitive technologies. USA based Parco
Merged Media Corporation was the first systems developer to deploy a

drawing. Based on the idea of synesthesia, the rare neurological

Based on Ema (ver1.0: Ema for the first Fing presentation.),
I am re-thinking about basic scenario of Ema.

Whatever interfacewe are going to choose, I think we have to
think about these 3 results in one senario. Because, with Ema
(ver1.0) people needs to make the 2 stages of choice.

Choice 1.Ema (ON/OFF)
-This is the switch for the choice, whether the user wants to hear
the music from others.

Choice 2.The status of each music in users play list
(Public mode/Private mode)
-With this switch, for each music, user can choose whether they
accept to share the music or not.
(※Because sometimes, people might have very personal sounds
on their play list or something embarrasing to let others hear.
For example, I have a stupid music file which my friends made
for my birthday...)

Considering these 2 stages of choice, when two people pass by,
there is 3 possibility. (Red is A's music/Blue is B's music)

share their song, but each of them does not listen to others.

As one of the bonus/alternative functions of Ema, "Ema in second life".
A user in real life could notice the moment when he pass by someone's abater
in second life. He can not see him but he can hear some nice special sound
(sound effect), such as the sound of a bell (like a cat) or the sound of steps.

As well as the user in phisical world, the user who controle abater in second life,

Why the trains run smoothly, in Japan

1.Changement of Reservation vhehicles.
In Japan, for Shinkansen(TGV) and limted express, there are
2 types of seat, one is reserved seat and the other is non-researved seat.
Since, usually in front of the vehicle for non-researved, there is a long que.
And that que prevent smooth movement of people who try to get on and get out.
So the company change the number of reserved and non-researved vehicle everytime.
They can keep average rate of use, on the space.

2.Alternate departure
In the popular station, they use both side of one plat home
for one way of one specific train.
In the morning, the train schedule is designed to creat spare
time for each train.
There is always one train on the plat home waiting for other
comes, and the first train wating in the station depart when
the other comes.

3. Special way of applying the "brake".
Once the train make a delay, they apply the techniques of
applying the brake to cut down the time.
When they found the delay, driver apply this technique,
and he can reduce 5 second each "one stop at each station" .
So with 30 stations, the driver can recover 2min30.

Suica (スイカ, Suica?) is a rechargeable contactless smart card
used as a fare card on train lines in Japan. The card is usable
currently in the Kantō region(JR and other railway and metro),
at JR East stations near Sendai and Niigata, and in the Kinki region
on JR West. Launched in November 2001.
The card is also increasingly being accepted as a form of electronic
money for purchases at stores and kiosks within train stations.
As of April 2007, over 20 million Suica cards were in circulation.

To let scanner read Suica, it takes 0.2sec. It's not that much long time.
However, when the reader is placed as flat, people can not wait 0.2sec.
because they wants to swipe it.
However the reader has some angle, people can wait.
Because they touch the scanner with Suica rather than swipe.

Public transportation navigation service on mobile phone.
In Japan people use mobile phone to find the best way of
moving between two places with public transport.
Just use mobile phone and connect to network(internet)
provided by mobile phone company, such as "Orange world".

How does it work in the site?
There is smalle difference between the service provider but
almost the same.

1. Enter the name of the station where you are and
where you want to go.

2.Enter time and days, and tell your priority of the criteria,
such as time>money>route or so.

3. Then the site shows you some route with order.
With information of time, money, transision time,
and wheater there. In addition, if there is delay,
it shows you that infomation.

As for process no1, there are other oppotunity to find
where you are and whare you are going.
(Depending on the career which you made a contract)

what is the nearest station.

[B] From Memory; the station which you often use.

In addition to these basic service, it provide
other information (1.5 euro/month)
-which number of vehicle is good to change line 5.

DOBUTSU-NO-MORI: animal forest nintendo DS[links]
This is one kind of interactive game for nintendo DS(portable game).
In short, animal charactor(avatar) version of second life.
What is interesting about this game is its special interactive function.
First,put this game(DS with software, DOBUTSU-NO-MORI)
in your bag , selecting "surechigai mode(crossing mode)".
Go out somewhere(city, school, office, station).
Then, when you crossing by someone, who has the same game and
selects same mode, but maybe you do not know.
Without your noticing, your village(virtual), where your avatar lives,
connects to his one.
(However, this "crossing" only happens in Wi-Fi emvironment.)
